On this tour we will explore the best wineries in Mendoza privately and driving a vintage Citroën 2CV, a beautiful and classic car. Just like the Volkswagen Mini or Besouro, these instantly recognizable and iconic Citroën have the ability to get your attention and create lots of smiles. When leaving the busy streets of the city of Mendoza, you will be able to truly appreciate the dazzling landscape crowned by the Andes Mountains.

The first visit of the day will be at the Melipal winery (which means Cruz del Sur, in the Mapuche language). This project integrates simplicity, practicality and elegance, mixing with the local landscape. The winery stretches between its vineyards and worships the “acequias” (irrigation channels), willows and the wonderful Andes Mountains. The owners are convinced that the wine is born in the vineyard and that is why all the wines of the house are made with grapes from the vineyards themselves. With an exclusive focus on the Malbec grape, Melipal stands out for the limited production of this variety of excellent expression and typicity.

We continue by car to the Rosell Boher lodge, which was born as a family business in 1900 and continues with the tradition focused on quality sparkling wines in addition to making still wines. The owners pay close attention to the initial product, which is grapes with fruity aromas, freshness and acidity. Here we will enjoy a delicious lunch paired with wines and sparkling wines in the restaurant that was awarded as the best restaurant worldwide in the Great Wine Capitals category.
