Eco Adventure

In the morning, we start our trip in electric bikes into the diversity and vibrancy of authentic Mendocinean terroir. Our first appointment is at Bodega Domaine St. Diego. Hidden off a country road next to an old ivy-covered church, we’ll ring the doorbell of this tiny garage winery whose owner and winemaker is considered one of the fathers of Mendocinean terroir: Ángel Mendoza. Working as the premier winemaker at several wineries in the region, Mendoza is known as the steady hand in expanding Mendoza province's great successes and growth in the industry. After completing his degree in 1971, Mendoza joined the team at Peñaflor and for 25 years acted as the premier winemaker of Peñaflor's Trapiche. In 2001, Ángel Mendoza was awarded “Argentina's Winemaker of the Year” by his colleagues for dedicating 23 years to ensure Trapiche's success. 

Domaine St Diego is a winery with vineyards planted on slopes and in the leafy Lunlunta hills in Maipu, a pictures setting in one of Mendoza’s oldest wine regions.

After enjoying a great visit around the winery and a tasting of its delicious wines, we will continue to a nice ranch where we’ll have a horseback experience in the hills of Lunlunta. There we will have amazing view of the Mendocinean oasis in the middle of the arid landscape. Our horses will carry us to where we will be able to see the river and the flora and fauna of the two principal wine regions in Mendoza, Lujan de Cuyo and Maipú, all with a spectacular view of the Andes Mountains. 

After 1 hours of this funny activity, we will continue by e-bikes to Divina Marga, an old house of 160 years in this area privileged by its landscape surrounded by hills and vineyards on the banks of the Mendoza River. It has more than 20,000 meters of park and a hall where events are held. We will have time to enjoy a complete picnic lunch and relax in this perfect and peaceful place before embarking on our return to the accommodation.
