On the southern shore of the Rio de la Plata, lies the most charming capital in South America: Buenos Aires. Elegant, stylish and sophisticated, it has a universal influence attached to it. Discover the magic of Buenos Aires on a comprehensive introductory tour of Argentina's capital city.

DAY BY DAY SUMMARY

DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO BUENOS AIRES AND TANGO SHOW

Arrival to Buenos Aires and airport meet and greet and transfer to your hotel. Day at leisure to explore the city. At night, you will enjoy a welcome dinner at a traditional restaurant in the city. You will enjoy the true essence of tango, not only as a musical style, but also as a social phenomenon. Only one word describes this show, stunning!

DAY 2: CITY TOUR WITH LUNCH

We will pick you up early at your hotel and start our walk through Plaza de Mayo, witness to the political history of our country. There we will visit the Casa Rosada, the Cabildo, and the Neoclassical-style Metropolitan Cathedral, where the remains of José de San Martín are found. Then, we will go to Palermo, an area known for its large parks designed by famous landscape architects, such as the illustrious Frenchman Charles Thays. In Retiro and Recoleta, we will learn about the dream of our local aristocrats in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when they tried to build a small-scale Paris in the heart of Buenos Aires. Then we will walk along Alvear Avenue, chosen by the most prominent brands in the world to install their exclusive boutiques. We will visit the Basilica of Nuestra Señora del Pilar, one of the oldest churches in the city. Finally, we will admire the famous Recoleta Cemetery, a veritable labyrinth of ornate mausoleums.

We will visit Puerto Madero, a corporate, residential, hotel and gastronomic district, which has become the playground. Then we will go to San Telmo, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. We will walk through its cobbled streets, where the colonial past of the city seems to come back to life, making a stop at Plaza Dorrego, known for its traditional antique fair.

We will continue south until we reach La Boca, a working-class district, strongly made up of Italian immigrants who arrived in our country during the last quarter of the 19th century. Here, we will make a special visit to the mythical Calle Caminito, which sums up everything that gives La Boca its distinctive spirit: the strong passion for soccer, the strong presence of art and color, and the atmosphere of Tango.

At lunchtime, we will go to Gran Parrilla del Plata, a classic corner of the San Telmo neighborhood, a place that once knew how to occupy a butcher shop. Without a doubt, the specialty of its menu is based on the quality of the meat and the achuras. The living room is recycled but preserves the hooks, the old meat slicer, the original tiles and majolica tiles, and the tile floor from the 20s and 30s. This vintage space is set to music to the rhythm of jazz, and has excellent service .

DAY 03: DELTA DEL TIGRE

We start a 30 km journey to the City of Tigre, crossing parks and beautiful buildings. We will visit the Río de la Plata, the widest in the world. We will make a stop at Puerto de Frutos, a magnificent market, with its small jetty bordering the Luján River. Upon reaching Tigre, we will board a panoramic catamaran, to enjoy the Paraná Delta. This visit is ideal to learn about life on the islands, flora, fauna, recreation and water sports in a calm, stable and safe navigation.

DAY 04: COUNTRY DAY

On this tour we will immerse ourselves in the local environment of a historic town, San Antonio de Areco, the cultural legacy of the gauchos, Argentine traditions and local artisans. We will take a tour of the town that includes a walk through the historic heart of the city. Then, we will go to the exclusive Estancia "El Ombú de Areco". The main house is surrounded by a covered gallery typical of the late colonial period, with a tiled floor and cascading steps that lead to the park gardens, where the great Ombú (Phytolacca dioca), a characteristic plant of the pampas, is found. Once in the ranch, we will enjoy horseback or carriage rides, while we enjoy a traditional snack.

At lunchtime, we will enjoy a typical country-style barbecue prepared with the best quality meats. The dessert is accompanied by a presentation of folk music, followed by a demonstration of gaucho skills. We will enjoy mate and cupcakes.

DAY 05: DEPARTURE

Check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport.
