Diamante Lagoon

The lagoon is located 198 km from the city, at an altitude of 3300 meters above sea level and 11 km from the border with Chile. Due to the climatic inclinations that the region suffers during the summer season, the season of visits to the lagoon begins in November and ends in March, attracting during this short period a large number of visitors eager to know this natural and unique place.

During this full day tour of the magnificent "Laguna del Diamante", we will visit the natural reserve surrounded by volcanic landscapes and enjoy the wide range of colors in the heart of the Andes. This spectacular water mirror owes its name to the rhomboid figure of the Maipo volcano reflected in its waters. This is one of the most important sources of fresh water in Mendoza.

In addition to all the beauty that this place presents, we will be accompanied by many animals that live in this paradise, and if we are lucky, we will see condors flying near the Maipo volcano (5,323 masl).

It is important to highlight some of the activities that can be carried out during the visit in the reserve, such as trekking, climbing, photographic safaris and sport fishing for salmonids.
