This circuit is essential for those who want to know the details and secrets of the city of Mendoza, from its foundation to the present. To continue with the historical line, we will visit a winery that is a symbol of Mendoza: Trapiche.
This tourist circuit of the city and its surroundings will allow us to get in touch with a modern city, known for its beautiful trees, its wide sidewalks and its particular cleanliness.
The walk will show us the history and culture of a city founded by colonizers more than four centuries ago. We will visit the Alameda, the Foundational Area, the Civic Center with its meadows and gardens and we will enter the centennial Parque General San Martín through its traditional gates, where we will be surprised by its sculptural works and, through a winding path, we will ascend the Cerro de la Gloria where the Gesta Libertadora de America monument is located. As we descend, we will see the Frank Romero Day Greek Theater, the central stage of the Harvest Festival.
The next special stop will be at the Trapiche winery, a place steeped in history dating back to 1880. The first of several train lines that went to Buenos Aires was built here and the tracks can still be seen. Size is the most attractive aspect of this visit, which runs through this incredible property: almost a thousand hectares produce a total of 35 million liters of wine per year ... Throughout its history, they have understood the strength of the viticulture in Argentina like no other and specialized in obtaining the best of all soils to create exclusive wines. Here we will delight ourselves with a three-course lunch paired with wines.
Then we will return to the hotel.
