Classic High Mountain

This tour consists of several stops at viewpoints and special places to take photos or take a short walk. The first stop will be in Potrerillos, a small mountain town, with weekend residences belonging to the inhabitants of Mendoza. Here, there is also an impressive view of the Potrerillos dam, which forms an artificial lake. We continue on the route that takes us to Uspallata, a valley framed by mountain landscapes that show changes in colors and various geological formations. It is a mandatory stop for those who do the high mountain tour or for those who travel to Chile, since many mountain restaurants and craft shops are waiting for visitors.

The trip continues through other small mountain towns such as Polvaredas, Punta de Vacas and Penitentes, until reaching Puente del Inca, a natural bridge where the Las Cuevas River has pierced the mountains forming this incredible natural attraction.

Near the border, a wonderful viewpoint allows us to see Cerro Aconcagua in all its splendor. It is 6,962 masl. We will be able to walk through the Aconcagua Provincial Park and see the Laguna de Horcones, which is surrounded by giant mountains and visitors from all over the world who travel to see the famous hill.

Optional Cristo Redentor: national historical monument and cultural heritage of the Argentine nation. In general, it is possible to visit it in the months of January and February, depending on the weather conditions.
