Luján de Cuyo Malbec

You can enjoy the world of wine, accompanied by beautiful landscapes of the pre-mountain range.

In the early morning, we will depart from your hotel to discover the Luján de Cuyo region, one of the largest vineyards in the province, also known as “the land of Malbec”.

At the first stop on this tour we will be delighted to visit Las Perdices winery. The reason why its owners chose its name is due to the partridge, a type of bird that adapts to dry and stony climates, just like the vine. Regardless of the adverse circumstances that may arise, it always completes its cycle.

Secondly, we will visit the Matervini winery founded in 2008 by Santiago Achaval and Roberto Cipresso, pioneers of Malbec wines from ancient vineyards in Argentina. Matervini focuses mainly on Malbec and how this varietal has various characteristics depending on the region where it is grown. For this reason, the winery is special since it is constantly searching for the perfect Malbec.

We will continue to Susana Balbo Wines (Dominio del Plata) where we´ll enjoy a one-of-a-kind dining experience. After twenty years of working as a consultant winemaker both in Argentina and around the world, Susana Balbo decided to open her own winery. In 1999, Susana rented a small winery and began her first batches of wine. Initially the production was quite small. After working in Salta, Susana returned to Mendoza to work in wineries including Bodega Martins and Catena Zapata Winery. She founded Dominio del Plata in 1999 in Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza. The menu is amazing and the courses are universally excellent; with clever taste combinations, experienced wine matching and overall great presentation.
