Portillo
Portillo is very close to the border with Argentina, for those who come from Mendoza. This station has a beautiful landscape on top of the Andes and great infrastructure for everyone.
Portillo is a wonderful and modern ski resort located in the andes mountains of Chile, very near from Mendoza frontier, 220km by vehicle from Mendoza city. Right after leaving the border you´ll arrive to Portillo ski area. This road which is also a mountain pass, is closed crossing both ways ifit snows heavily. The way is very narrow, steep, and has about 30 switchbacks.
- The value of our service includes only private transportation with driver. Drivers speak Spanish. Bilingual drivers (English, Portuguese or German) and tour guides can be requested separately
- If you want to stay in Valle Nevado, the availability and values should be consulted directly with the station
- Passes to the ski slopes, equipment rental and lessons must be consulted and contracted directly with Valle Nevado
- Excursion available from June to October, depending on the amount of snow and weather conditions. Mendoza Holidays is not responsible if weather conditions (storms, snow, wind, etc.) can not be reached in the winter resorts.
